Community United Methodist Church

This was an addition and extensive remodeling with the goal of “opening the building to the community”.

The main feature is a west facing glass enclosed stair that guides people to the second level Sanctuary, as well as to bring much needed natural light into the interior of the building. The enclosure contains an open stair to naturally draw people between the second floor sanctuary and a newly re-tasked and enlarged entry level coffee community gathering area on the ground floor near the primary entries. A two level classroom, youth, and office building addition was added to the south side of the existing building, along with a drop-off driveway. A complete air conditioning system was retrofitted in the classrooms, nurseries, and offices.
